As I mentioned before, one of my best friends was pregnant. I said was because she had the baby this week and I’m super excited to go meet Baby Ryder this weekend!
Anyways, for the baby shower I wanted to get a gift that was personal and memorable. I just couldn’t get a diaper genie for her, I mean she was one of my bridesmaids! I researched online for some cool knitting patterns and found one that seemed pretty fun and easy to try. I don’t know about you, but I just can’t use the same knitting pattern twice, just love trying new things and challenging myself too much.
I came across the Staggered Square Knit Blanket pattern on Fave Crafts. I made a couple of adjustments to the blanket. Since I used a lighter yarn than the one recommended, I added a repeat of the pattern and more rows. what I ended up with was a very light, comfy and stretchy baby blanket which I loved and she adored.
Sorry I don’t have a close up pic, maybe I’ll get one this weekend…
For information purposes, I used about three Baby Bee Naked Sweet Delight Pomp Yarns, which is a light yarn.
