Good morning! Hope you had a great weekend and had fun watching the big game. Ryan and I stayed home to watch it, partly because we felt like it, partly because the 10 inches of snow outside gave us no other choice.
This weekend we did a lot of driving. We went over to visit Ryan’s dad after his surgery and thankfully everything went well. His recovery is going great and he’ll be able to go home today.
While there, we took the time to visit our bestest friends and their always gorgeous baby.
We got back on the road on Saturday to beat the snowstorm heading to Iowa. Absolutely the whole state was expecting snow Saturday to Sunday.
We also gave Ryan his birthday present a little early so he could use it though the winter. It was a joint effort between his parents and I, an ice fishing hut which he was pretty excited to get. So he got to building it as soon as we got home.
Meanwhile, I started reading Wild by Cheryl Strayed. I became aware of it due to the movie, but I felt like reading the book more. Nothing beats a good book.
Sure enough the snow started falling and it didn’t stop until well into the night Sunday.
We woke up to a lot of snow and a very excited dog.
Breakfast was simple and delicious.
Then I got started on a few craft projects.
I also started a yoga challenge on Instagram. Every day they provide a new pose for you to do. It is technically for moms-to-be, but I thought it would at least get me to do some yoga everyday, so I’m quite excited about it.
Finally, we watched the Super Bowl during a white out. Seriously, it’s blinding outside.
Finally, happy 2nd anniversary to my sis and bro-in-law!
Here’s to a great week!
