Good morning! Hope you’re doing well and that your weekend was fantastic! Mine was one of those that just fly by. I was enjoying it fully, so didn’t take time to take a lot of pictures. Nonetheless, it was great.
Friday after work, I made a quick stop at the grocery store before heading home to meet up with Max, Kayla and their baby for the weekend. They were going to stay with us the whole time and I was quite excited to spend some girl time with her. We met up with Josh, Kalyn and their baby for dinner and then hung out at out place for the rest of the night. It was quite the sight to see the two kids running around our backyard and poor Boone trying to keep up with them.
Saturday, the boys went fishing, while Kayla and I went to the park for some baby-playset time. The morning was a little bit chillier than we anticipated, but still pretty good. After lunch, we waited for the boys to get back and then we all took a nap. Don’t judge us, it was glorious. The rest of the day was spent hanging out, chatting and chasing the baby around.
Sunday was followed by some more baby chasing, until they had to get on the road.
After another nap for me, I got to do some crafting. Starting the baby quilt! Boone was very gracious and let me work, unlike other times where he just lays on top of what I’m working on.
To close off the night, we had some tomato soup and grilled cheese for dinner. I use this recipe form Iowa Girl Eats. It’s delicious.
And for dessert: some Orange Leaf. I’m pretty sure I put a little bit of anything chocolate for toppings. Delish!
Have a great week!
