Friday Ramblings

Hello! Sorry for the late post, but this week I have decided to relax after work. By that I mean that my eyes started closing at around 8pm last night and I didn’t fight it. Instead of watching Thursday Night Football, I curled up with Boone and fell asleep on the couch. It was glorious. So, I’m trying something new today. I’m sharing a lot of randomness, from things I like to what’s going on over here to web findings. So here we go!

I have a bug for baking at the moment and was debating on making brownies or chocolate chips last night. Well, I didn’t have any eggs left so I couldn’t make either. Sad. I gave Ryan the choice cause I couldn’t decide and he voted for chocolate chip cookies. So, this weekend I’m going to try this recipe I’ve had pinned for a while, Cream Cheese Chocolate Chip Cookies. They look delicious!

I’m also in the hunt for a new face moisturizer. I’ve used L’Oreal’s Ideal Moisture (both dry skin and sensitive skin versions) for a long time now, which work just fine it the summer, but once it starts getting colder I get dry patches on my cheeks and chins. I’ve tried Origin’s Ginzing moisturizer, which worked well, but after a week I started showing some irritated skin. I’ve also tried Olay’s Total Effects one, which made me break out in hives in just a few hours. Apparently, not for me. Soooo, I might try one from Aveeno or Simple, which are the brands of cleansers I use and have treated me pretty well. The hunt continues!

Tomorrow, Ryan and I will be spending the morning afternoon taking childbirth classes at the hospital. I don’t think he knows what he signed up for haha. the first part will be all about birth and anything than can happen with both natural birth and c-sections. It also includes a labor video, before they send us off to lunch. Not sure what we’ll want to eat after that! Then, we come back for a class that’s catered to birth prep, so the hours upon hours before actually giving birth. We’ll discuss breathing, stretching, comfortable positions, and what he can do to make me now want to kill anybody around me. Should be fun!

Lately, I’m in love with long sleeve shirts. Specially, Target’s Merona crew neck tees. I bought a couple in medium (one size up so they fit me throughout the whole thing) and they are soooo soft. Love them. I’m sure I’ll be living in the all through winter. Plus, they’re super long, at least for my 5’1” frame, so my belly stays covered all day long.

Finally, I’m fully in love with yoga at the moment. Stretching feels amazing. I may have a back ache, or rib ache, or feel tight or heartburn (like yesterday), and yoga just makes everything go away. Taking the time to just do some stretching and slow down works miracles. Might be part of the reason I fell asleep so early last night. Right now I’m just doing it on Thursdays, but I might make it twice a week now because it’s just that good.

Here’s to a good weekend!
