Hibernation Weekend

Hello! With this baby coming soon and the frigid cold here, Ryan and I have been pretty low key and will be until baby arrives. The temperatures this weekend were so cold, that we only left for a couple of hours on Saturday to run a couple of errands and the rest of the weekend we stayed in the house working on various projects.

I finally finished the baby quilt I’ve been working on for a long time. It’s not perfect, but I love it. So does Boone. He might need to share with baby.

I also worked a ton on the baby room, getting things organized, making the baby and hospital bag, cleaning, laundry, etc. Still feels like I’m not done yet, but it’s closer.

In the meantime, Ryan worked on fixing up the basement. It’s an experiment. We’ll see if our plan works. In the meantime it’s going to be a lot lighter than the dark cavern it is now, so I’m excited.

Also, Christmas decorations have finally come down. Sad. Our tree is still up, but it was too cold to do anything with it this weekend.

Boone got a lot of attention and indoor playtime this weekend. He was a cuddle monster.

Plus, he gave the his best puppy eyes when I made myself a milkshake. Just milk, vanillas ice cream and salted caramel ice cream. Try it, it’s amazing. Boone had some and loved it.

I’m on my way to reread the Harry Potter series. Finished book 3 and just started Goblet of Fire. Love them and her writing.

Finally, I’m leaving you with this Pickles cartoon. Happens to me all the time. Poor Ryan.

Have a good week!
