Hey! I don’t know about you, but August came and went before I could even realize it. Can’t believe it’s already September! Another month means another posts of some of my favorites. I have some baby items here since I’m with her most of the time, so bear with me. Nonetheless, here’s some of my favorite items this month. Feel free to share yours in the comments!
This thing is amazing! I use it every weekend because it’s just perfect for those big weekend breakfasts. I’ve used it for pancakes, French toast, over easy eggs, bacon and sausage. It’s great that you can fit so much at once, so you don’t have to spend a lot of time cooking in batches. There’s some griddles that fold away in the middle, which to me they’re pretty pointless since that becomes unusable space. In this one the handle just fold in so I just stack it along with my baking sheets. Plus, the removable drip tray comes in quite handy when cooking bacon. Definitely a must in any breakfast-loving household.
Bottle washing is a daily task for me now. Every night I hand wash Olivia’s bottle and all my pumping equipment. Technically, you can put these in the dishwasher, but I don’t trust mine to do a good job on these. So, I just hand wash them. I was using regular dish soap for a while, but it was leaving a soapy odor on the bottles, which I obviously didn’t love. I tried this Babyganics Soap and loved it from the first try. No more odor and just as clean. It’s phosphate and sulfate free, which is a big plus, specially when it comes to items that come in contact with Olivia’s mouth every single day. Great product!
These blocks have been fun for both Olivia and us. They’re soft, so they can land on her, you can step on them, she can put them in her mouth, all without hurting anybody. They are sturdy enough to stack. Each one is numbered 1-10 and the numbered is illustrated by animals. For example the 10 has ten giraffes. Eventually, it’ll be fun to learn numbers with these. Right now, our favorite game is to stack them for her, and then she’ll crawl over and push the tower down.
I mean, look at that face of determination. She loves them! We practice our building skills, trying to build faster than she can knock down. And she practices her crawling and learns about cause and effect. Win win! Plus, the color scheme is pretty cool as well.
Once you get these shears, you’ll never go back. I’ve had them for several years and they are still quite sharp and work great. I’ve used them to cut anything from fresh flowers to small branches. When I worked on the garden last weekend, I was reminded of how well they work. They’re light and super comfortable to use.
This site is pretty awesome. It’s a daily deals site and it has everything from New Balance to Carters to Kitchen Aid. They really have something for everyone. You can favorite items and brands to shop later on as well. Just this week, I got a shipment from Zulily of some shoes and a bathing suit for Olivia. they were each about $8, from around $30 originally. Great prices and great products!
That’s all for now, have a great weekend!
