Good morning and super sorry for the late post. This whole week I’ve been trying to find some of the pics for this tutorial and I couldn’t find them anywhere. Needless to say, I got a little stressed out. Until, it finally dawned on me to check on my external hard drive, and sure enough, there they were. Oops! So, I just gathered them all up and put the final touches this morning.
Today, I’m sharing another necklace tutorial. It uses the same techniques I showed you on the Jewelry 101 tutorial, so look back if you need some help. The necklace itself, is very simple to make.
- blue beads in various shapes and sizes
- gold chain, I used three different kinds
- nautical charm
- eye pins
- jump rings
- jewelry tools
First up, assemble your blue bead components, four total. I did a variety of them.
Next, connect the charm to the bead components and to the chain.
Next, assemble the bottom part. Gather three chains and attach bead components. Cut them to the same length and attach to necklace.
Here’s the finished necklace to get an idea of my measurements.
Quick tip to get the length right: I usually just put a whole piece of chain on the necklace, making it a closed loop, and then cut halfway to attach the clasp.
Attach the clasp.
Your necklace is now ready to wear!
The style is very simple and asymmetrical. But you can definitely modify it to you liking.
Completely unrelated, but don’t forget to give your dad a hug/call this weekend!
