Good morning! Hope you had a great weekend. Nothing special over here, but just getting some things done. Friday night, Ryan and I decided to drive over to his hometown to celebrate his dad’s birthday. It was kind of a last minute decision, so we just got on the road as quickly as possible. Plus, his aunt from Texas was visiting and we wanted to see them as well. One thing I appreciate about our road trips is how well Boone does. He pretty much sleeps all the way unless Ryan is eating beef jerky, then he wants some as a treat.
I also got a treat for myself. Big Boppers are amazing and addicting. Sooo good. One of my top favorite ice cream treats for sure.
Saturday morning it was kinda rainy and wet, so we hung out for a bit before heading over to the golf course. It was a fun round, although my swing was all over the place, but we still had a great time. Plus, Ryan’s dad is really enjoying golfing again after he got both knees replaced. He’s a brand new man. The rest of the day was spent hanging out with the family until Ryan and I took off to get back home before midnight.
Sunday was pretty uneventful. I ran some errands while Ryan worked on a project and after lunch I took a nap with Boone. He wasn’t too happy when I got up from the couch though.
I also finally out some more wall décor up. I got an amazing deal at Bed Bath and Beyond. These frames were originally $40 and I got the for $8 each. Score! Definitely swing by and check their clearance if you’re looking for some frames in the near future. I had no clue what I was going to put in them, so for now, I just put some of our college watercolor work.
Hanging them up was pretty easy too. I just cut a piece of paper to their size and marked where the nail holes would need to be. Taped that to the wall and measured/aligned/centered etc.
Nail where indicated and hang.
Easy as pie.
Plus, I also hung the mirror and some décor on the other side of the room. My medal holder is now a necklace holder, which works just fine. don’t worry, my medals are still hanging up, just behind the door.
Here’s to a great week!
