A Weekend Away

Hello! Hope you had a great weekend! Ours over here was pretty good and kind of a last minute decision. Earlier in the week, Ryan suggested we go visit some friends in Des Moines to hang out and so he could go fishing with the guys. We haven’t seen them in a while, so I was all up for it. Plus, I was planning on running some errands this weekend anyways, so I could do that while they fished. Off to Des Moines we went on Friday night.

Drivetime Friday

Saturday morning, the boys left at the break of dawn. I on the other hand, set out to go on my errands run. First stop, of course, was Target. I got some items we needed, browsed through registry items once again (it’s a bigger store than we have), and had some Starbucks for breakfast. Yumm!

Then, my errand took me to Trader Joes, Lowes (always getting items for projects), Old Navy, Home Goods and just out and about around town. Made some pretty good purchases if you ask me.

Once I got back, it was time to let all the dogs out and hang out for a bit. Isn’t that MinPin cute? Look at his face. Boone is not too fond of sharing me, but he’ll tolerate it as long as I’m also petting him.

Hanging out with the pups

After a little while, everybody was zonked, so we all took naps. No complaints from me.

Once everybody was back in the house, we just hung out and played games. My kind of night.

Sunday morning, we had coffee and doughnuts for breakfast. I’ve had a craving for doughnuts for a while now, so I was a happy camper.

Then, it was time to head back. My turn to drive! Ryan and Boone took a little nap and it was the cutest thing ever. Boone is a great traveler and usually falls asleep within the first 10 minutes of a drive.

Once we got back, it was time for me to get going on some projects, including putting the first coat of paint on the changing table and I must say that I’m loving the results! Can’t wait to share it with you soon.

Here’s to a wonderful week!
