Got another fun and quick project for you! These picture magnets make great memory keepsakes, gifts or even party favors. And all you need are a few supplies. I made this set as a present for my little sister, Tania, and her boyfriend.
- 2×2 tiles (I got mine at Menards, a 36-tile slab for less than two dollars)
- photo prints (same size as tile if it’s not beveled, a little smaller if it is)
- ModPodge and sponge applicator
- E6000 glue
First, trim all your pictures to the desired size.
With a sponge applicator, apply some ModPodge to each tile and place pictures on top pressing firmly.
Then, apply another thin coat of ModPodge to the top of the pictures making sure to go over the edges where the photo meets the tile.
Once completely dry, I like to apply a thin coat of Matte finish, so the light doesn’t affect the picture when in display.
Remove each tile from the sheet and cut or tear off the glue pieces it comes with.
With some E6000 glue attach the magnets. This glue is the best for any project that needs some heavy duty hold. It’s quite smelly too…
Use some heavy magnets, since the tiles are going to be on the heavier side.
Once dry, they are ready to be displayed on the fridge. I love how it is a clean way display pictures on your fridge without making it look clustered.
Simple and fun! My kind of project.
